L. Schütz

  1. Born in Rosario, Argentina (1992)

I started from an early age taking several courses on analog photography and Super 8 film. Later, I studied photography at Andy Goldstein School and Audiovisual Design at the University of Buenos Aires where I graduated and worked as an assistant in sociology classes. Some of my photographs and personal projects have been published in local and international magazines such as Los Inrockuptibles (Arg), Intern Magazine (UK), Ignant online magazine (Germany), Der Greif (Germany), Lula (Japan) among others. Astroromántica zine, a photography project edited in 2019, is currently available in Motto Book Shop (Berlin) and at The Photographers Gallery in the UK.

In 2015 I participated in "Festival de la Luz - Muestra 25/25", a collective exhibition for young Latin Americans at the CCR with the support of Itaú Cultural and on 2018 I was selected to exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Argentinean Art (MACA) at the XIV Visual Art Salon. Some of my short films have been screened at local festivals such as BAFICI in its competitive section and selected by the Berlinale Talents BA as a director in 2018.

In 2019 I attended Biographical-Documentary Theatre Course with Gudrun Herrbold at Universität der Künste Berlin as a scholarship student. Nowadays I'm based in Lisbon studying a master degree in documentary film direction.
